On Tuesday, SiriusXM unveiled its new holiday music line-up for the upcoming season. With more than 22 channels, subscribers can choose from a wide range of holiday music. These include traditional and contemporary holiday tunes and Hanukkah favorites. They can also listen online, on Sonos speakers, or via the SiriusXM mobile app.
The SXM App offers a wide range of holiday and Hanukkah music, and features contemporary and traditional songs for all the family. Listeners can also vote for the first holiday song of the season. In addition, they can record a message to send to their loved ones on VoiceMemo. A special holiday edition of Hallmark Channel Radio returns to SiriusXM, featuring music from the Hallmark Channel stars.
There are 19 ad-free holiday music channels to choose from, including Rockin" Xmas, Jolly Christmas, and Holiday Instrumentals. All of these are available through the SXM app through December 27. Each channel is designed to provide listeners with a festive mood. Some of the artists featured on the channels include Bruno Pelletier, John Legend, Pearl Jam, AC/DC, and Bruce Springsteen.
Besides ad-free holiday music, SiriusXM subscribers can also enjoy a variety of genre-specific channels. For example, the Holly channel features pop hits such as Mariah Carey, Ariana Grande, and Lady A. Meanwhile, the Hall channel plays classic holiday songs like "I"ll Be Home for Christmas," and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas." Kids can get in the holiday spirit by listening to the Kid"s Christmas channel, which features holiday classics.
Fans can also tune in to Noel Incontournable, a channel that features holiday hits from the past six decades. Among the artists performing on this channel are Ginette Reno, Bruno Pelletier, and Laurence Nerbonne. Subscribers can also stream the Holiday Chill-Out channel, which features downtempo holiday tunes. During the holiday season, the app will also feature the New Year"s Nation, a custom-curated playlist that features the hottest dance and hip-hop hits. Similarly, the Holiday Soul channel features R&B holiday music from the 60s and 70s.
SiriusXM is also offering a new Holiday Soul channel that will run on channel 49 beginning December 7 and continuing until December 28. The music selections will include classic soul and Motown holiday music from the 60s and 70s, along with popular treats from today. This year"s soundtrack will feature songs by Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Temptations, and more.
Finally, the 70s/80s Holidays channel will play the biggest holiday hits from the "70s and "80s. Listeners can expect to hear Madonna, Bruce Springsteen, and more. Alternatively, they can tune in to the Mannheim Steamroller Channel, a new channel that mixes rock and symphonic holiday songs with Chip Davis" groundbreaking Fresh Aire music.
